Challenge
Instagram re-encodes every upload, even from its own app, so no tool can avoid that. The damage comes from what Instagram is handed: schedulers compress before uploading, so the video is encoded twice; files outside the spec (4K, over 25 Mbps, 10-bit) get hit hard; iPhone HDR comes out washed out. My first idea was to push the video into Instagram's drafts and let Instagram's own scheduler post it. Meta's publishing API has no drafts and no scheduling, so that product couldn't exist. I rebuilt it around what the API does allow: upload and process the video early, then publish it at the set time. YouTube and TikTok work differently again, so each platform had to be handled its own way.
Objective
Touch the file as little as possible, and be honest about everything else. Queue checks each file against the platform's spec and fixes only what fails: a lossless rewrap first, at most one clean re-encode. The platform downloads your original file, with no middleman compressing it. The dashboard answers "is anything wrong?" first, with missed posts and the fix one click away. Every preview is a true-proportion iPhone showing that platform's real interface, so crops and captions look the way they'll post. The Quality Lab compares the original and the posted video, and the benchmark refuses to call a gap under 1 point a win. Platforms that don't work yet say "Coming soon" instead of pretending.
Results
Live and public: the app runs on Railway, and the demo works for anyone without posting anything. 152 automated tests pass. Proven by byte fingerprint: the platform receives the exact original file, and Queue never double-posts. 22 desktop and 23 phone screens, each in light and dark (the prototype switches with the app's own theme button), and the Figma file is rebuilt from the running app, so design and product can't drift apart. Not proven yet: a real head-to-head quality test. The demo's benchmark scores are real measurements, but its routes are simulated. The test I'll hold it to: the same clip posted through the Instagram app and through Queue, with Queue scoring at least 1 VMAF point higher.
